School is almost back in session but that doesn't mean the fun has to end. SWEP 3 Rivers is looking back at our summer fun and looking ahead to the new events and activities yet to come. We are looking to make some changes to our committees and events for the upcoming season and hope to bring more new members into the mix to help our SWEP team flourish.

Annual Dress for Success Fundraiser

August 15 from 5 - 7.30 pm @ Threadbare Cider

Our annual charity fundraiser is this Thursday and there are still a few tickets left, so sign up, bring a friend, and catch up with fell SWEP members as we celebrate the summer with great company (and cider and wood-fired pizza... yummmm).

Join us in support of the many women who need a little extra help as they prepare for their next career steps by participating in our annual fundraiser. Food, drinks, conversation and opportunities to win some really fun items, courtesy of member curated raffle baskets - remember to bring cash for tickets!

We had a smaller group on July 31 (not everyone can wake up extra early) but that didn't stop us from having a great dialogue about the current activities and future goals of SWEP. As well as share what's been happening with each other and providing support to work and life challenges! We hope you'll join us next time, it's a great time to get to the know the board a bit more personally and get caught up on SWEP happenings.

Girls Week at Camp Soles on August 8-9

For the 3rd year, a few SWEP members joined the summer counselors at Camp Soles to help wrangle 84 girls and young women by hosting afternoon crafts and talking about possible environmental professions and activities. From tie-dying to seed bombs, fun was had, messes were made, and the beautiful scenery at the camp was enjoyed by all. [Mark your calendars for this year's weekend getaway, October 18-20!]
