Connie Creek Cleanup Project
The Connoquenessing Creek Cleanup Project is an annual event formed by Allegheny Aquatic Alliance (AAA) for the restoration of this important local waterway. Tackling 10–20-mile sections each summer over the past decade, AAA aspires to clean the entire creek by removing the physical pollution that consumes it.
SWEP Three Rivers volunteers joined the cleanup on Saturday, September 11, 2021, to help restore this vital waterway back to its beautiful, natural state. This year’s stretch was from Oakland Township to Butler Township. SWEP members Christina Casanova, Fielding Environmental, and Amanda Love, Moody and Associates, Inc., were onsite to lend a hand for a stretch that extended past Camp Redwing, a camp for Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania.
